Mark your Calendar: Pelican Ball 2025

The 2025 Pelican Ball, hosted by the Acadiana Center for the Arts, will take place on December 6, 2025 at the AcA’s James Devin Moncus Theater in downtown Lafayette. This black-tie-optional gala is one of Acadiana’s premier arts-driven fundraisers, bringing together community members, artists, and supporters for an elegant evening of celebration and philanthropy.

Guests can expect live music, dancing, food and drinks, and both silent and live auctions — including the yearly opportunity to purchase one of the region’s beloved Pelicans on Parade art pieces. Proceeds from the event help fund AcA’s arts education programs, visual arts exhibitions, and performance series that serve schools and communities across Acadiana.

Each year, the Pelican Ball also honors individuals who have made a significant impact on the arts. For 2025, honorees include John Chappuis, recognized for his long-standing community leadership, and Renée Roberts, celebrated for her key role in developing the Pelicans on Parade initiative.

Elegant, lively, and deeply rooted in local culture, the Pelican Ball continues to be a meaningful way for the community to support and celebrate the arts in Lafayette.
