Acadiana Animal Aid Holiday Adoption Event

On Saturday, December 13th, Acadiana Animal Aid will turn their 11-acre property in Carencro into a full Winter Wonderland.

Photos with Santa, Peppermint the Elf, hot cocoa, cookies, kids crafts — and best of all, the chance to meet the amazing pets who are looking for their forever homes.

You can tour the dog kennels, kitten rooms, and the cat cottage, plus enjoy one-on-one time with a shelter pet in the doggy play yard to see if they might be the perfect match for your family.

There are over 100 pets at the shelter right now hoping to go home for the holidays. And during this event, adoption fees are reduced to• $25 for adult pets• $50 for puppies/kittens• FREE for long-term residents

I went last year, and it was truly special. I loved capturing photos of pets getting adopted and heading home with their new families — it’s impossible not to smile watching those moments. I reached out again this year to volunteer because this event just fills your heart in the best way.
