Mark your calendar: the 2025 Acadiana Cigar Box Guitar Festival happens Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Gator Cove, located at 2601 SE Evangeline Thruway in Lafayette.

Hosted by Bailey’s Cigar Room, this family-friendly festival invites folks to bring their own cigar box guitars or simply come enjoy the vibe. Bayou Cigar Box Guitars will be there showcasing their instruments, and there will be live music, food, and vendors on site.

Performers

This year’s musical lineup features Kirk Dupre and Bayou Cigar Box Guitars, both bringing their unique sounds to the stage. The mix of traditional roots music and the distinctive tones of homemade cigar box instruments creates an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.

Vendors & Experiences

Festivalgoers can browse booths like Best Darn Cajun Tour, which offers purses made from cigar boxes, and Cajun Custom Cups, known for their cigar band-cup creations. The Wildcat Brothers Tasting Room & Distillery will also be open for tours and tastings, while food vendors make it easy to grab a bite between sets.

What to Bring

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs (or something comfortable to sit on) and their own cigar box guitars for informal jam sessions or to watch others perform. The festival is all about music, craft, and community in a laid-back, welcoming setting.
