Guardian Day 2025: Honoring First Responders, Raising hope

On Saturday, August 23rd, more than 5,000 people came together at the Firmin Ranch in Slaughter, Louisiana, for Guardian Day 2025—a day filled with music, community, and heartfelt support for the families of first responders.

The annual event, organized by the Guardian Day Foundation, included a lively car show, an exciting live auction, and a star-studded evening concert. But more than just a celebration, Guardian Day served its true purpose: raising funds for first responder families facing times of hardship.

Since its founding in 2021, the Guardian Day Foundation has raised over $200,000 to assist first responders and their loved ones during times of crisis. This year’s event added another incredible milestone—over $120,000 raised in a single day—helping to ease financial burdens for families across:

  • Ascension Parish

  • East Baton Rouge Parish

  • West Baton Rouge Parish

  • East Feliciana Parish

  • West Feliciana Parish

  • Iberville Parish

  • Livingston Parish

  • Pointe Coupee Parish

  • St. Helena Parish

A Community United

From the moment gates opened, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy. Classic and custom cars lined the ranch grounds, drawing crowds to admire the craftsmanship and creativity. The live auction, filled with unique items and experiences, saw the community’s generosity on full display—every bid helping to make a difference in the lives of local heroes.

Music That Moved the Crowd

Rising Louisiana stars Lauren Lee and Connor Martin delivered powerful performances that had the crowd singing along. Just two days after making his debut at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Chase Tyler returned home to give Guardian Day fans a show to remember. Adding to the magic of his set, Amber McCann, who sings with the Chase Tyler Band, captivated the audience with her amazing vocals. And closing out the night, country legend Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry brought the crowd to its feet, celebrating 25 years of music while honoring the sacrifices of first responders.

More Than Just a Concert

Guardian Day is more than an event—it’s a movement of gratitude. By rallying together each year, the community shows its appreciation for those who put their lives on the line daily. The funds raised go directly to families when they need it most, ensuring first responders can focus on what truly matters: their health and their families.

As the final notes played and the night came to a close, one message was clear—Louisiana stands with its heroes. And thanks to the Guardian Day Foundation, their families will never stand alone. You can find more information at guardianday.org
