October in Acadiana is shaping up to be a full month of festivals, arts, music, and community gatherings.
October 2 — Buried Pleasures at Legends Pub, Lafayette. An evening of drag, burlesque, and dark delights. Doors open around 8:00 PM, show starts at 9:00. It’s one of the spookier, more adult-oriented takes on October nightlife in Acadiana. Eventbrite
October 3–5 — KBON 101.1 Music Festival in Rayne. A three-day festival featuring Cajun, Zydeco, swamp pop, and country music, showcasing local bands on stages and bringing people together from across the area. (Note: exact schedule details are less widely published but the dates are confirmed.) KPEL 96.5
October 9 — Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana Country Concert (Lafayette). A charity concert with performances and auctions—part of Acadiana’s community-giving events. A chance to see both established and up-and-coming country artists in support of youth programs. (Exact lineups and times are published through community calendars.)
October 9 — “State of the River” Celebration by Bayou Vermilion Preservation Association. An environmental / community evening event, celebrating the river, local ecology awareness, and community involvement.
October 10-12 — Festivals Acadiens et Créoles (Lafayette). The big cultural heritage festival: French Louisiana music, dance, food, crafts, all of that. Girard Park comes alive for three days. This is one of the biggest events of the month in Acadiana.

October 11 — Second Saturday ArtWalk at the Acadiana Center for the Arts (Lafayette). An art gallery stroll with local art, small-scale performances, perhaps food and music mixing in. Good for getting out, seeing local creatives.
October 16-19 — International Rice Festival (Crowley). This is the major agricultural festival of the month: parades, food competitions, rides, live entertainment. It draws crowds from all over.

October 18 — Gulf Brew 2025 (Downtown Lafayette). Craft beer, live music, local vendors, a family-friendly zone, food trucks—something for a wide audience. Plus supports the Acadiana Center for the Arts.
