November 1 – Saturday

C’est Bon Seasoning Festival. Pelican Park in Carencro comes alive at 4:00 p.m. for this lively music festival featuring multiple bands and a headline set from Wayne Toups. Expect Cajun rhythms, spicy food vendors, and a big dose of Louisiana flavor to kick off the month.


Lafayette Nutcracker Market – Holiday Extravaganza. At the Cajundome Convention Center, shoppers can explore aisles of handmade crafts, home décor, gourmet treats, and unique holiday gifts from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It’s a festive way to start your Christmas shopping early.


Lafayette Farmers & Artisan Market. Moncus Park hosts its weekly outdoor market from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Shoppers can browse farm-fresh produce, baked goods, and local crafts while enjoying live local music in a family-friendly setting.

November 2 – Sunday

Fête & Feast. The Acadiana Center for the Arts transforms into a fine-dining venue for an evening of culture and cuisine. Starting at 5:30 p.m., guests enjoy a multi-course meal paired with local wine and live entertainment, blending culinary creativity with community spirit.


Beaver Club BBQ. From 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Beaver Park, families and friends gather for this beloved outdoor barbecue. With smoky aromas and plenty of local camaraderie, it’s a casual Sunday event that captures Acadiana’s love of good food and fellowship.


November 4 – Tuesday

Impact Amplified Regional Conference. Hosted at UL Lafayette’s Picard Center, this one-day event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and focuses on nonprofit growth, networking, and community development. It’s an opportunity for regional leaders to share ideas and strengthen their organizations.


November 8 – Saturday

Downtown ArtWalk. From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Downtown Lafayette becomes a walking gallery during this monthly celebration of the arts. Local galleries open their doors, artists line the sidewalks, and musicians fill the air. It’s one of the most colorful nights of the month for art lovers.


November 9 – Sunday

Salute to Service: Honoring Local Veterans. Moncus Park hosts this heartfelt community event from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Families gather to pay tribute to Acadiana’s veterans with live music, food trucks, and ceremonies honoring those who have served.

November 15 – Saturday

Lafayette Farmers & Artisan Market. The weekly market returns to Moncus Park from 8:00 a.m. to noon, offering another chance to enjoy local produce, homemade treats, and artisan goods while catching up with neighbors.


Paper Shredding Day. At Robicheaux Recreation Center from 9:00 a.m. to noon, residents can safely dispose of old documents and sensitive papers. It’s a practical community service event with an environmental twist, encouraging recycling and security awareness.


November 17 – Monday

City Zoning Commission Meeting. Held at Lafayette City Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., this public meeting invites residents to learn about new planning proposals and development discussions shaping the future of the city.


November 20 – Thursday

Historic Preservation Commission Meeting. At the Community Development & Planning Library, preservationists and residents gather from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to discuss the protection and celebration of Lafayette’s historic neighborhoods and landmarks.


November 22 – Saturday

Household Hazardous Waste Day. From 8:00 a.m. to noon at 2351 West Congress Street, residents are encouraged to drop off items like paint, batteries, electronics, and chemicals for proper disposal. It’s an important event for keeping Acadiana clean and green.


Acadiana Heart Walk. That same morning, River Ranch will host the annual Heart Walk, where families, teams, and health advocates gather to raise funds and awareness for heart disease research. Expect upbeat music, community spirit, and a sea of red shirts taking steps for a good cause.

November 26 – Wednesday

Camellia Crossing – Miles Perret Cancer Services. On Thanksgiving Eve, River Ranch glows for one of Lafayette’s brightest charity runs. Participants don “gleaux gear” for this 5K walk/run benefiting Miles Perret Cancer Services. It’s a joyful, light-filled evening combining fitness, family, and philanthropy.

November 27 – Thursday

Thanksgiving Day. Across Acadiana, families gather to celebrate with traditional feasts and time-honored recipes. City-parish offices close, and the streets grow quiet as locals pause to give thanks for another year of community, culture, and good food.

Acadian Day. The Friday after Thanksgiving is observed as Acadian Day in South Louisiana — a time to reflect on the region’s French heritage and enjoy an extended holiday weekend with family and friends.


November 30 – Sunday

Holiday Kickoff Events. As November draws to a close, several towns across Acadiana begin lighting their Christmas displays and decorating downtown districts. From tree lightings to parish choirs, the region transitions from fall festivals to the joyful rhythms of the holiday season.
